Dr. Felicity Mazur-Park

Felicity Constance Mazur-Park is an English composer, pianist, and organist based in Texas. She holds a Bachelor of Music degree in Music Composition from The Boston Conservatory, a Master of Education degree from Tennessee State University, and a Master of Music degree in Music Composition and a Doctor of Musical Arts degree in Music Composition with cognates in Organ Performance and Music Theory from Texas Christian University. While at Texas Christian University, she was the chapter president of the TCU Society of Composers for multiple years.

Dr. Mazur-Park teaches applied organ at Dallas Baptist University and is the Director of Music at Christ the Redeemer Anglican Church in Fort Worth. She previously taught Music Theory and Ear Training at Texas Christian University for five years. Before that, she worked as a full-time Piano Accompanist for Irving Independent School District. Many of the choirs she accompanied received sweepstakes (the highest score) at UIL competitions, and the majority of the soloists she coached competed in the TMEA State Solo and Ensemble Competition. She is currently completing a second doctoral degree (PhD in Visual and Performing Arts) from the University of Texas at Dallas, studying with composer Dr. Robert Xavier Rodriguez, which will be completed in May 2026.

She frequently presents her music theory research, often focused on linear analysis and women composers, and performs at national and international conferences and festivals. Recent conferences and festivals include the College Music Society National Conference in Washington, DC; Taylor Swift: The Conference Era at Indiana University Bloomington; the National Associations of Composers USA National Conferences (2024 and 2025); the Music by Women Festival at Mississippi University for Women; and the GAMUT Conference at the University of North Texas. Her Master of Education thesis, Ethnic Music in Nashville: A Choral Approach, won the Graduate Oral Presentation Award at Tennessee State University’s Spring 2017 Research Forum for the Arts. She also won the “12th Annual Sherry Clarkson Prize for Best Scholarly Paper” at the 2023 RAW Conference at the University of Texas at Dallas and the 2024 American Guild of Organists Student Commissioning Project.

Dr. Mazur-Park has 16 years of private music teaching experience. She is experienced teaching piano, violin, voice, music theory, organ, and composition lessons. She is a compassionate teacher who tailors her lessons to individual student needs. Her private students have received a range of recognitions, including distinctions on Associated Board of Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM) exams, first-place positions in regional Music Teachers National Association composition competitions, and admission into prestigious universities such as Harvard, Berklee, Rice University, and the University of North Texas.
