Master's degree in Music Education at SMU

Ms. Song is an experienced piano educator with a strong background in piano pedagogy, private instruction, and group teaching. She holds a Bachelor of Music in Pedagogy from Wheaton College and is currently pursuing her Master of Music in Music Education at Southern Methodist University (SMU). She has experience working with students of different ages and levels, with a focus on piano technique, music theory, sight-reading, musicianship, and performance preparation.

Her background also includes classroom and group instruction through the Wheaton College Community School of the Arts, as well as additional training in Suzuki and Music Garden teaching methods.

Ms. Song believes that strong musical foundations and a genuine enjoyment of music should grow together. Her lessons are structured, supportive, and thoughtfully tailored to each student, helping students build confidence, develop musical independence, and find joy in their progress at the piano.
