Yu-Hsuan Li
BRASS|PIANOYu-Hsuan Li is a dedicated music educator originally from Taoyuan, Taiwan.
She earned her Master’s degree of Music in Performance from the University of North Texas (UNT).
Award-Winning Euphonium Artist and Music Educator
Yu-Hsuan Li is from Taoyuan, Taiwan. She graduated from the Department of Music at National Taiwan Normal University in Music Performance and earned a Master of Music in Performance from University of North Texas. She began her musical studies with Mr. Bai-Chuan Tsai and later studied with Mr. Wei-Chien Chen and Professor Fu-Hsuan Duan. She will continue pursuing a doctoral degree at the College of Music of the University of North Texas, studying with Dr. David Childs.
During her academic studies, Li actively participated in piano competitions, gaining valuable performance experience. In 2015, she received First Prize in the Steinbach National Four-Hand Piano Competition and earned Superior Honors in the piano division of the Taoyuan Student Music Competition. In 2016, she won First Prize in the piano division of the Taipei Capital Cup International Music Competition. She also worked in piano education, serving as a piano accompanist and practice coach from 2015 to 2020.
Li was awarded First Prize with Distinguished Honors in the collegiate tuba division of the Taipei Student Music Competition in both 2020 and 2022. She has also participated in masterclasses and received instruction from internationally renowned artists, including Bastien Baumet, Glenn Van Looy, Corentin Morvan, Daniel Thomas, and Brian Bowman.
She currently serves as a virtual private lesson instructor for euphonium and trumpet with the Dallas Independent School District Music Private Lesson Program.
